You’re Four Months Old and I’m Back to Work

July 14th, 2005 · No Comments · First Year

Just four months old and already you are a very busy girl.

You smile all the time and your newest thing is to scream as loud as you can and laugh while doing it. You are trying to roll over and always seem like you are in a hurry to go somewhere.

We often joke and tell you to just get out of here, since you seem to always want to be moving. We take you on stroller rides and at first you did not like them you cried the whole time but now you love them you look around and chew on your hands.

You love talking to me and you become very vocal when I am in the room.

Daddy dances with you a lot and he plays with you all the time.

We both can not wait until we get home to see you.

Back to Work and Missing You

I just started back to work last week and it is driving me crazy that I do not get to see you all the time. We have hired a nanny to stay with you so you do not have to leave home and you can get individual attention.

These past two weeks Ms Elaine has been taking care of you because the Nanny that I hired was on vacation. Elaine has done a wonderful job and I wish she would stay but, alas, she has her own stuff to do. You like her though and it pains me to see you in someone else’s hands besides mine. I know it is good for you and we are working on a way for both of us to stay home with you and give you all the attention we can.

I am so excited about you being here and I have so much to teach and show you. We love you so much. I have never seen your Daddy happier than when he is holding you and he says the same about me.

You are such a joy to have in our lives and I hope you always know that.
