Letters to Hope

Miss Hope, last Friday you rolled over all by yourself.

I am so happy that you did it for me. You looked at me and laughed I love your little laugh I love that you smile so much.

You wake up smiling all the time. I love that about you, you are always smiling, always in a good mood. The only time you ever seem to be in a bad mood is when you are tired or hungry and then you let me know. But, other then that you are great… except when we are in the car.

Your Arch Nemesis: the Car Seat

You hate the car seat: it is so funny when you get so upset.

All red and sweaty, mad as hell that you are in that darn car seat. As soon as I pick you up your are all smiles again like nothing happened.

Making You Sleep in the Crib Tonight

I am going to try again to get you to sleep in your crib tonight and see how it goes.

You have this thing that you do your arms like spin around in circles and you kick your legs like you are going to fly away. You are too cute. And you love everyone.

You are not attached to one single person: you will easily go from person to person without a care in the world.

Sometimes I wish you where more attached to me. But I guess it is good that you are so secure that it does not matter you know you are safe. I miss you so much while I am at work and I am sooo happy that we are able to be with each other on Fridays and the weekend.

So Much Growing to Do

You are growing so much you are such a Chunky Monkey.

This Friday you are going to get your 2nd round of shots. Last time you were very good. I hope that this time it is as easy for you this time, too. I hope you don’t cry and it is not too painful.

I miss you and love you more then I ever thought I could love a person. Weird to think that at one point you where not in my life because I can not imagine my life now without you.
